Based on over 40 years of research with thousands of couples, The Art and Science of Love workshop will give you new insights and research-based skills that can dramatically improve the intimacy and friendship in your relationship and help you manage conflict in a healthy, positive way. Along with the memory of re-connecting and the knowledge that “we can do this,” you will take home a box set of cards, tools, and tips to support your relationship in your everyday lives.

Presenter

Christopher Bloom, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist with over 19 years of clinical experience. He is in full-time private practice in Huntsville, Alabama and conducts 2 day weekend workshops for couples. He is a Certified Gottman Therapist and Certified Gottman Workshop Leader.

CE Course Objectives

  • Explain how couples can build and share a deeper connection with each other’s inner world

  • Create ways for clients to foster respect, affection, and closeness

  • Demonstrate how to keep conflict discussions calm

  • Describe ways to break through and resolve conflict gridlock

  • Specify how to strengthen and maintain the success of couple’s relationship

  • Detect the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse and what to do if they are attacking your marriage

  • Identify the relationship’s specific strengths and how to build on them

  • Describe the effects of physiological flooding and how it affects conflict resolution

  • List small, easy steps to increase romance in your relationship

  • Utilize the Fondness and Admiration System to renew respect and care for one another

  • Practice problem-solving skills, including the 6 skills for effective conflict resolution

TRANSFER/CANCELLATION POLICY

If cancellation is made at least 30 days prior to the workshop date, a refund less a $75 processing fee will be issued. After the cut-off-date, you have the option to transfer to any other workshop date offered by me within one year.

CE Certificates

After registering for the workshop and registering for CE hours through our link to R. Cassidy Seminars, you will receive a paid receipt from them with instructions on how to go online and do the evaluation and then print your certificate.

Satisfactory Completion

Participants must have paid tuition fee, signed in, attended the entire seminar, completed an evaluation, and signed out in order to receive a certificate. Failure to sign in or out will result in forfeiture of credit for the entire course. No exceptions will be made. Partial credit Is Not available.
